Canine Good Citizen Testing
(AKC CGC® Program)

Do you want your dog to earn his CGC?  We can test you for this!  We provide training to prepare you & your dog for the CGC, or we will test dogs that have already had some training in preparation for this test.

If you would like for your dog to earn his CGC but don't know where to begin you may join our CGC Prep Class.

The test items in brief are as follows:

• Accept a friendly stranger
• Sit politely for petting
• Appearance & grooming
• Out for a walk (walk on a loose lead)
• Walk through a crowd
• Sit, lie down & stay in place on command
• Come when called
• Reaction to another dog
• Reaction to distraction (loud sound)
• Timed separation

 The test details are as follows.

• single test (approx.15-20 minutes per dog)
• any dog can be tested, no age limit
• 3 dog minimum per test
